Well, Dealerdirect05, there isn't a whole lot you can do with pinned blades when trying to make inside cuts. That is why most scrollers use pinless blades exclusively.

With a pin end blade, you have to drill a hole large enough to feed the blade through for inside cuts. That hole has to be pretty big. Best advice I can offer is to see if there are blade clamp adapters available to fit your saw that will allow the use of pinless blades. Then you can drill the entry hole the same size as the smallest blade you want to use, virtually invisible in the finished piece.

hi, Dealerdirect05, sorry you are haveing problems but the pin end blades just wont do what you want. not only is the pin to big to get into the small frets you wont to cut. but the blades that normaly come are to thick. and lardg. but dont' give up hope. if you would like to pratice, with your saw. have you concidered segmentation, or intarsia. you don't have to inter a hole. just cut from the side. the kerf might be bigger than you wont. but you can still pump out some great woodworking. just a thought. your friend Evie

I've never needed to try it, but I seem to remember someone on the forum driving the pin out and using a heavy duty safety pin as a replacement. That way you can insert the blade through a hole just big enough for the blade and easily replace the pin. Worth a try if your SS only takes pinned blades.
