Default Question about puzzles.

I would love to try making a jig saw puzzle with one of my animal photo's on. Please could somebody tell me
a) The best way to fix photo to puzzle.
b) I take it I fix photo then put jig saw patten on and cut from the other side am I right?
c) Any tips to help me please.

I am going to try it using mdf. Thank you.

Hi Jenni...

I don't know if I'm the "wealth of information" Bill says I am, (thanks, Bill) but I'm happy to help anyone with freehand puzzle cutting. Yes, I do emphasize "freehand". You don't need a pattern and should get in the habit of cutting pieces one-at-a-time, using the color lines within the picture you're cutting as your guide.

I glue the picture or photo to 1/4" wood with Aileen's Tacky Glue, although regular carpenters glue would work as well. Trowel it thin and even and then smooth the photo on from one corner to the opposite. Then watch it because bubbles may form that need to be smoothed out.
