|  Thanks. I have to take the weekend off as it is impossible to saw. No worries, got a party tonight AND THEN tomorrow we are going to the Cabela's in NE!!!  I haven't been to that one, and they have 50 percent off their fishing gear!! I can spend a whole day in sporting stores.   I think I will start researching some saws, just in case. |

 | Sounds like you need to bring that saw back over and I look at it again. No way should you be having that many problems with it. Or you can try all the saws here to find out which one you like the best and have a better idea of what you want to buy. |

| Grrr. Got the replacement parts from Dremel yestersay. However, they were the wrong part. They won't overnight it, although the admitted the piece I need is defective, and that they sent the wrong part. Another 4-5 days with no scrolling. I'm bummed b/c it's raining and I can't fish anyway. I guess I'll resort do doing chores. |

| If I were you, I'd take Rick up on his offers again. Go play around on over 150 scrollsaws all at one place, then go drown a worm afterwards! Sounds like you cant lose there, and I bet Rick can even teach you how to fillet those crappie on a scrollsaw. If anyone could do it, he would be the one! Dale |

| I too have problems tightening the blade clamps And I am the most penalized player on my hockey team! Seriously, I think I am going to try two things. First I find when I tighten the thumbscrew, I find that the connector that holds the blade also rotates and does not allow the blade to be secured in a completely vertical position. I will build a bit of a wrench to keep it aligned. I may also go to a pair of pliers but will need to be careful not to place too much strain on the threads. One GOOD thing is that the blade usually pops loose RATHER than breaks! Best of luck, Doug - a fellow newbee |

| Doug (HockeymanVT): Your 1st post seems to have been lost in the shuffle. Anyway Welcome to the forum site. I hope your visits are enjoyable. About your post, you seem to be well on the way to solving your saw's problems. However, should your problems continue with the blade popping out of the chuck, I recommend you start a new thread on your problem rather that continue to add to this thread. Also, posting your saw's maker and the model just might help the members focus on the causes of your blades chuck problems. For example, Rick H. even has a video on how to make a homemade blade chuck tool at his web site for the RBI saws. (http://www.scrollsaws.com/ and then on the left hand side, look for Scrollsaw tips video.) Go ahead, start a new thread, it don't hurt. Well maybe the first 100 or 200 times anyway. After that, it's between you and your shop dog (cat) as time on the computer vs shop time. Phil |
