Mine is in my back pack a lot! I found that a length of old garden hose, cut the same length as the blade inside the frame and split lengthwise, makes a great safety cover. At first I just tied it on with nylon cord, but have since discovered those little ratcheting cable clamps....slip them on and off easily, stick em in my pocket while using the saw, and slip the guard and clamps back on when done. If you happen to have a saw set those blades can be resharpened and the kerf reset many many times.
