Default Eyebrows

Ok, I'll start things off over here with this question that I'm searching for an answer on. I need some eyebrows for this woman carving that I'm working on. The book says to just use a v-tool to groove them in. But groove them in to what? Do I just draw them on the forehead and groove them, or draw them, dig around them to have a slightly raised brow and then groove them?

Jeff what I do is use the v tool to make the hairs. same as you would for facial hair like a beard. ofcourse it will be more delicaite on a lady carving.

well i thought i could find a example but cant at the moment

I've been asking around with no replies, so last night I finished her off with some eyebrows. I drew and then cut out the surrounding area, so they are raised, but just slightly, then I just used a file to file them into hairs. Don't know if that's the right way, but that's what ended up with. After tackling this project, I can sure see a need for some rasps. Why they are so expensive is beyond me, but I sure do need them.
