Is it just me or is SSW&C Forum & Blogs getting terribly complicated? I'm not sure where to post finished scroll saw projects and how to read all my posts. I'm not even sure where to find the addresses/names of all the subscribers to the Forum & Blogs.

Hi Buzz, If your project is fretwork, post it in the fretwork area. If it's intarsia, post it in the intarsia area. Best Regards, Bob Duncan Technical Editor

| Hi Buzz - if' you want to locate all your posts use the Search button on the main forum page After clicking on Search choose the Advanced search option Then select Search by user name, type in your name and chose below Find threads started user Select Search all open forums in the Search forum(s) box then click the Search Now button if you want search in a specific main or sub forum or search by dates you can use the various option in the advance search panel This might sound a bit complicated at first glance but its actually very easy to do and once you have used the advanced search you'll find that its a very powerful tool to find posts and associated information Ref the board being complicated - in fairness to Bob, Claudio and the folks who set this up this forum it does contain a very large and varied base of information and to sort it all out in such a way as to make it reasonably easy to navigate is no mean feat. I guess many members are not too worried about surfing the blogs, communities and even the galleries most of the time and only really want to surf their area of interest in the Scroll Saw sections. Using the main page to do this isn't so difficult and if members struggle at first then they can always shout for help with is usually only a few hours away at the most Hope this helps a bit Cheers

Buzz, I agree with you. The forum has become very congested and confusing. How do I deal with this? When I come to the home page I click on the New Posts button, that way I'm pretty sure I don't miss anything. When I want to post a pic of something I made, I put it in the General Scroll Saw section, if the powers that be want to move it, so be it. I can not be bothered trying to decide were a pic belongs. What about something like this, Oh no the big 50 002.jpg Is it fretwork, is it wordart, maybe it belongs in the compound section cause after all it's not flat, oh my gosh where do I put it. It's not wood, should there be a section for alternative materials, maybe there is such a section. It truly can be very confusing. Marsha

I've been on several forums where there are no categories. Everything is dumped into one basic forum. God help you if you want to find a thread or post from a year or so ago. When we set the forum up, we set it up so the information will continue to be useful to users for years. What good is information if it isn't categorized and organized? BTW, Marsha, General is where something like that belongs. If you ever have any questions about where to put something, please feel free to ask. I'm sure if I'm not around to answer, one of the moderators will be able to help you out. Best Regards, Bob Duncan Technical Editor

To Bob and the rest of the moderator's. I really think you are doing a great job. Some days I have the time to go through all the forums, but on days when I am pressed for time I like to be able to check in on the intarsia and fret forums as this is my main intrests. Since the change to more forums I like it better, always felt strange posting things in the "bragging" forum as I just like to share what I am doing not brag about what I have made. Thank you for all your hard work and time.
