Can you tell me when doing intarsia pattern do you saw on the line or just on the outside of the line? I am new to this.

Some say saw just on the outside and sand to fit, others, like me, try to saw right on the line. As you do more intarsia you will develop your own methods. Whatever, don't quit!! the more you do the better you will become until it becomes a obsession!!!! I have figured out after years of doing it that there is no right or wrong way, what ever works for the individual.

i uasaly try too split the line with my blade,specialy where pieces join together,if they are not joining,like the outside of the piece it doesnt matter what way you cut,up the middle or too the side of the line..

| I tried to cut a half a line to try to get a tight fit and ran into all sort of problems. In Judy Gale Robert's articles in Wood Magazine she sals to stay on the line. That seems to be the best.
