Hi All, I am making the hinges from Gary's Book. My question is it says to glue the dowel in the hinge. Maybe I am dense, but how is that supposed to be done? Can I put glue on the dowel and put it in the hinge, or do I just glue the outsides on the dowel? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Chris

I'm not Gary, but I would think you would put a little glue on the dowel where it meets the first section of the hinge. That would keep the dowel glued in place, but still allow the rest of the hinge to move freely. I hope this helps.

Thanks Rick, Thats what I did, just wanted to be sure. That sure is a fun book Gary wrote. I feel like I am getting addicted to the box making. Thanks for the reply. Chris
