But to respond to your question---Google: Me On A Pumpkin. Many here have tried software (of various flavors) from that company and found the software easy to use. | |

Phil, Corel draw x4 is available for home use at nice low price. I think corel is easier to learn than psp.Amazon.com: CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 Home & Student Edition: Software |

Sorry, I am not much help. I use pencil and paper. I know this is the hard way many would say, but it works for me.

I currently use Coreldraw X3. The instructions book from Corel as well as other publishers is easy to follow. Also on YouTube and scrollsaws.com you can find free tutorials (Steve Good and Ric Hutcheson). Often an older version of Corel can be found on ebay for under 10.00. Gimp,Inkscape, paint.net, are all free on the web. For a GREAT online school on graphic arts visit Tutorials - Online Training - lynda.com. Here you will find unlimited training at your own pace for as little as 25.00 a month. Karl Taylor |

I am a beginner pattern maker and am using Coyote Stencil Shop available from here... Carving Technologies, LLC I have had good luck with it. I've done a portrait of a person and a dog, as well as, several inanimate objects with good results. A trick I learned was to import the photo, then import the stencil in a new layer on top of the pic. That way as I clean it up, if I remove too much, I can see the image below. It also allows a "fallout" preview and a final image preview.

I haven't used Pattern Wizard for glass projects, but have used GlassEye2000. It's an easy program to learn and would lend itself to intarsia. Jan |

I like to make my patterns in 3D, so with that in mind, I use Sketchup (free from Google). Learning all Sketchups functions was a bit hard, but now, I cant imagine a better pattern tool.
