where is the best place to buy slab wood (tree slice) i have seen them at craft stores (basswood)

You can find basswood slices at wally world (walmart) as well, wally wood.....hehehe

Get to know and befriend a tree trimmer, someone who works in your local public works department etcetera. Often times you can get slab wood free if you are not overly picky about species!

get all my slabs at a local saw mill if you get there before
they chip them up most saw mill sale there chips to paper mills. but they will give you some if you talk to some one
at the mill. lady123

Teresa, dont give it all away, save a couple for me!! Buster, you might try Quality Lumber at Affordable Prices! Hardwood Lumber for all your woodworking needs! if you dont see it on their site, email them, they do have slabs.
