Smile Maple Leaf Jewelery Box-Fall 2006

Gary MacKay,
Are the lid dimensions correct? The article reads "2 each 1/4" x 5 3/4" x10" (lid)" Why isn't it the same as the plywood bottom dimensions?
Thanks, TimT

Hi Tim,
The box bottom and lid are both based on estimates. There is a bit of shrinkage that can occur with the fancy joints in the corners. The best bet is to complete the box and take measurements from your box for the lid and the bottom.

The lid dimensions were oversided intentionally to make sure you could make a tight fitting lid.
