We have a set of Flexcut reciprocating carvers, and use them occasionally. They cut like a knife through butter, but can be a little unforgiving at times. However, I would have thought you would get more information from the carving forum (runs in line with the Fox Chappel carving magazine, a sister publication)

Hope this helps

Sue

Chancemn,
Try Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers at Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers they are a great bunch of people and have experience with all sorts of power carvers. They will probably have an answer for you.

Hi Chancemn, welcome to the family. I would love to see some of your walking sticks as I have been looking for something decorative for myself. I really do not want a traditional cane. I am soon going to need something for some extra support though. Steve
