|  Eye Dia When ordering eyes from a taxidermy place is the diameter called out by iris diameter or eye socket size? I keep getting the wrong size eyes. I always thought if you have a 14mm socket you order a 14mm eye. I suspect that when I order they are being shipped by iris diameter. I am new to fish carving and would like to know where I cn getthe right size eyes. |

| Re: Eye Dia Don't know much about fish eyes, but bird eyes are measured by the outside diameter, in millimeters (mm). There are 25.4 mm per inch. The eyes have a plus or minus (+/-) tolerance, so there may be some variation even when a bunch are ordered at the same time. Try the WASCO web site, they sell eyes and should have some info on how to order them at the site. |
