Default pewter bird feet

what is the best way to bend feet without breaking. I tried hot water out of the tap results not very good.

Just looked in the Wood Carver's Supply catalog; they sell the pewter feet, and they recomend putting the pewter feet in BOILING water for two or three minutes. That extra 40 to 60 degrees might just make the difference. Let us know what works for you.
