Default Whitetail deer bust.

Does anyone know where I might get a pattern or a roughout of a nice Whitetail Buck? *I'm really interested in the bust only. *Has anyone done one of these? *Let me know.

Thanks,
Bob

* * Hey Bob, I have a great book by Todd Swaim, it's Carving Trophy Deer & Elk. *It was a big help to me when I carved my whitetail deer bust...that and all the ones hanging down in my husbands hunting room!! *Actually, the one I carved is a mixture of different ones he has, but the book had lots of very helpful information (even though it was for power carving, which I don't do). *Coating the antlers with superglue, for example and clumping a little wood filler around the bottom of them to make them more realistic. *As mentioned, my husband is quite the outdoorsman and he really liked how 'realistic' the deer turned out.
* * You should also check out your local library, they probably have books that would help. *Good luck, Callynne

Thanks for the tip. Picked up his book this week and you were correct. Outstanding! Just what I was looking for.
