| Old Chipmunk Carving Tonight, desperate for some autumn ideas, I was going through some old photos and found this chipmunk I'd forgotten about. We need a new album on http://www.picturetrail.com/carvers-R-us ...... one named 'Antique Carvings'. Lacking that, I put the chipmunk in Wildlife :P |

| Re: Old Chipmunk Carving I don't know about putting it in 'Antiques', think adorable might be more like it! Don't know how something that wrecks so much havoc in my flower beds can be so cute!! Great carving! Callynne |

| Re: Old Chipmunk Carving Callyanne -- buy your chipmunks some peanuts and they'll leave your flowers alone
Sliver -- I live in an old folks home. We don't allow ANY young'ns around here. Even us :-[ crows are old. |

| Re: Old Chipmunk Carving Nancy, hubby says we can't afford to feed one more critter, between the fish (in the pond), turkeys, deer and birds we can hardly feed ourselves!! These little chipmunks are so brazen I bet they'd be lining up outside the front door waiting for breakfast! They are cute little buggers though, I just like yours the best!! Callynne |

| Re: Old Chipmunk Carving You are right! They would be!! My wife started feeding them in Colo., the little beggars would run up my leg while I was sitting in a chair, go into my shirt pocket and take a peanut and sit on my knee and eat it! When we found out they were causing problems around the house, because of burrowing under rock walls, the house and minor things like that, we bought a live trap and started trapping them and taking them across the creek...hauled off 50 of them! We were feeding the whole mountain population I think!! But I swear I saw one of them carrying a little suitcase coming back across the bridge, because we hauled off another 48 the next summer?? |

| Re: Old Chipmunk Carving Knowing chipmunks, Dave, you probably hauled the same one back 50 times! We caught one of the little beggars digging up Karen's green onions last month and chased him out of the planter. last week we found sunflowers growing in the onion planter......turns out he wasn't taking the onions, just getting those 'weeds' out of his sunflower garden! Pesty and sometimes damaging, but they are CUTE little buggers!

| Re: Old Chipmunk Carving You are probably right Al! the live trap had a couple of peanuts in it, so he just jumped right in, had a nice trip across the creek and a lunch packed for him! LOL |
