Default Wood Duck decoy

very nice wood duck,will he stand alone or are you planning another base like your other one.
how long do you spend on each duck(hours.)

I'm going to leave this one decoy style with no base.

This duck took about 15 hours to carve and paint(that dosen't
include reasearch/pattern making). The miniature wood duck on the
water took about the same amount of time due to the base. Birds
that I woodburn in the feathers, like songbirds and some ducks,
take between 20 and 25 hours because of the amount of detail.

David nice woody boy I wish I had your talent. To carve a bird in 20 hours is great it would probably take me 20 years and it would look like a chicken. I admire your talent you are a fine artist. Some of the bird carvers I know have 80 hours plus into some of their birds. I think I have ADD my attention span would never last that long. All kidding aside a wonderful carving.
