Default Carving an "ALPACA"

A close friend of mine has just started raising Alpaca's, very cute animals by the way.

I'm looking for a pattern or advise if anyone has ever tried carving one?

I'm thinking that I'll need to get some pic's from his 'trade' magazines to come up with a pattern to trace out body form, my main concern in thinking forward is the carving of the long / burly hair. *All thoughts / suggestions are welcomed. *Coffeeman
