Default Humpback Whale

I'm looking for some pictures or top and side view drawing for a Humpback Whale. I've been looking on line with little or no luck so far. I could use any Help.

Gordon Stiller has good patters for humpback whales (and just about any other critter under the sun). Somwhere down in my carving 'dungeon' I have some pictures of sperm whales I got on line.....I'll dig them out later and post the URL where I got them...thay also had humpys.

Rick, I checked the site I had for sperm whales, and that's all they had......but I ran a Google search for 'humpback whale photos' and came up with dozens of sites with photos. The trouble with these all is that there are very few if any that show a good picuter of a whole whale.......water maks these big photos almost impossible, it seems. Anyway, you should do what I did, and draw on many different photos to learn the basic anatomy and the specifics of the various body parts. You'll have to sort of 'reassemble' them in your mind to get what you want, bu there are a lot of great partial reference photos available.

Hi Rick,

I have a full pattern for a humpback whale that shows side, top, front and bottom views. If you would like I can take it to work to do a reduction and then scan it for you? I wouldn't be able to get it to you until Monday, but if you would like it, email me and let me know.

Regards,
Lindy
