Default Puffin Pattern

Anyone have an Atlantic Puffin pattern they would care to share?

I am interested in the wings, tail feather groups. All reference photos show up black, no definition. Various web sites were checked out.

Jax.

I've carved puffins, and lately have had the opportunity to handle them. They are much smaller in real life, than any I have carved or have seen carved. If Archie can't find anything I might be able to come up with some reference for you. Gordon Stiller has patterns online if you want to look. I'm going to document and blueprint a puffin , but won't be able to get to it, until later this fall. I`m behind in my orders, and cant find *extra time. I`ll watch to see how Archie makes out though. * Also Wildfowl Carving and Collecting had a puffin pattern in their magazine a few yrs back. If you go to their site, and do a search you should be able to find it.

Jax, I emailed you that feather pattern for the puffin....don't know if it is accurate enough for you. Let me know if it came through OK.

Nope, Dave, the puffin is still on the carving vice, hangin in the floor joist in the basement. In fact I think it's been there far too long, and maybe it was green wood when I started, cuz it's starting to shoot out roots and has budded a few new branches! Gotta get at that thing!

Al,

Thank you, pattern received and downloaded....it's exactly what I needed for the feather patterns.

I'll start on it tomorrow and alternate it with the Goldeneye I'm working on.

Hopefully I can return the favor.

Also, thanks to all who responded to my request.
